|I found this course very interesting and easy to understand. I really enjoyed doing the course and I thank you for your encouragement.
I really enjoyed doing this unit standard on line; the course material was very clear about the roles of an assessor, easy to follow instructions for what I had to do with great examples to refer to in each topic. I also enjoyed the support from yourself via email because it motivated me to get stuck in so I say thank you for that Anne - this is a great course and a great way to do it.
This course is for trainers who interact with trainees from other cultures. It is for unit standard 7091, Facilitate adult learning in New Zealand's cultural environment. This unit is compulsory for the Certificate in Adult Education and Training (both Levels 4 and 5).
Here are some unsolicited comments from the first person to complete the course:
|• I didn't feel bored or tired or distracted working through the topics, which is a sign the material is engaging.
• I thought the sections on Maori culture, protocols, language and preferred styles of learning were excellent.
The Department has been tasked with improving outcomes for Maori within prisons. I believe this unit standard, in the style presented by PACT, should assist Instructors in making employment related training more attractive to Maori, and thus more effective. Downstream, this should contribute to an increase in the number of Maori participating and succeeding in the employment training delivered within the Department.
